The Fuel Pump

Immerse yourself in the charm and historical allure of Karl Monaghan’s “The Fuel Pump”. This compelling fine art photography print depicts a piece of history, the old fuel pump at the picturesque Crom Castle. This isn’t just a fuel pump; it’s a moment in time captured, a narrative of the past brought to life through Monaghan’s expert lens.

Installed by the War Department in 1944 and sold onto the Crom estate a year later, this electrical petrol pump is steeped in history. Its industrial yet quaint aesthetic harks back to times of war when it replaced a hand-operated pump. It stands as a symbol of resilience and adaptation, embodying the spirit of Crom Castle itself.

This fine art print, like all of Karl Monaghan’s landscape photography, expertly conveys a sense of place and time. The rich details and meticulous composition transform an ordinary object into a fascinating subject, bringing an intriguing piece of Northern Ireland’s history into your home or office.
